Dr. Jaeschke works as a critical care physician in clinical work and has contributed to the development of Evidence-based Medicine, Clinical Practice Guidelines and the GRADE Methodology. Application of these concepts led to the project of McMaster Textbook of Medicine, the first Canadian textbook of Medicine. Previous publications ended with him being listed among the world’s most quotes researchers over the course of 2015-2018.
Academic Interests
Contributing to primary clinical research and meta-analyses throughout most of his career, Dr. Jaeschke now concentrates more of his efforts on Knowledge Translation: specifically the development of clinical practice guidelines methodology and its clinical applications.
Activities and Contributions
Dr Jaeschke is a practicing critical care physician who has contributed to the development of the concepts of Evidence Based Medicine, Clinical Practice Guidelines and GRADE methodology. The further application of the above concepts inform his current project – McMaster Textbook of Medicine (www.mcmastertextbook.com), the first Canadian textbook of Medicine. Dr. Jaeschke has also been listed among the worlds’ most quoted researchers (2015-2018).
