The Diagnostic Studies Workshop was an intensive half-day course designed for clinicians, researchers, health professionals and students who wanted to increase their understanding and critically appraisal of diagnostic accuracy studies.
This intensive half day workshop provided participants with an opportunity to learn to identify and appraise DTA studies. Much time was dedicated to the conducting and interpreting a meta-analysis of DTA studies, including computer exercises in which an actual meta-analysis was conducted.
Participants then reviewed how to grade the strength of a body of diagnostic test evidence using the GRADE method.
